ARLIE MCCORMICK
Arlie McCormick is a highly skilled performer, voice specialist, musician and award-winning actress and is currently a lecturer in Contemporary and Musical Theatre Voice at the University of Otago.
A native Australian hailing from Brisbane, her theatre credits include leading roles in MARY POPPINS, ANYTHING GOES, THE BOY FROM OZ, I LOVE YOU YOU’RE PERFECT NOW CHANGE and most notably, her award-winning role as ‘Diana’ in NEXT TO NORMAL. In late 2019 she was cast in an NZ tour of MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL, which was sadly cut short due to Covid-19, but she hopes to reprise this role in late 2021.
For a number of years prior to her move to NZ, Arlie toured extensively throughout Australia with Multi Award-Winning cabaret Group Babushka. In addition to her theatre experience, Arlie has worked as a professional singer for over 25 years and effortlessly moves through the genres of musical theatre, cabaret, jazz, pop and rock.
BRIDGET TELFER-MILNE
Bridget is an experienced performer, singer, prominent teacher and in-demand Musical Director with a career spanning almost 40 years. A Dunedin local, Bridget’s stage career began when she first appeared as ANNIE in 1982 which led to countless roles onstage.
In recent years Bridget’s passion for Musical Theatre has turned to Musical Direction and her credits include CHESS, HONK, GREASE, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, LES MISERABLES, BLOOD BROTHERS and too many to list! Bridget also holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Contemporary Voice and a has a First-class Honours Degree in Composition.
She is passionate about new musical theatre and last year she wrote a one-act show called INTERNET DATING AND THE DIVORCEE. In addition to this Bridget is currently writing a major dramatic Musical Theatre piece based on the infamous baby farmer ‘Minnie Dean’. Bridget is well known in Dunedin for her talents both on and off stage and she brings many years of experience and expertise.
